This is the privacy statement of U2pi BV and its brand names jouwboek.nl, jouwboekdrukkerij.nl, copyshopdenhaag.nl, and kelbo.nl (hereinafter also: “U2pi”). This privacy statement applies to all products and services offered by U2pi under its brands and trade names.
The manner in which we process personal data is in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The party responsible for the use of your personal data is U2pi BV, Carolina van Nassaustraat 161, 2595 SX The Hague (Chamber of Commerce number 27322834).

Processing of personal data
In this privacy statement, we explain what data we collect and for what purposes we use it. We do this by describing the various ways in which we obtain personal data.
The legal basis for this processing of your personal data by U2pi is always the performance of the agreement with you, your consent, and/or the pursuit of a legitimate interest (such as the interest in being able to send marketing information and prevent fraud) of U2pi or a third party.
U2pi continuously strives to optimize and innovate its products/services. We therefore also use the personal data we obtain for analysis purposes and to adapt and improve our services. We try to personalize our communication where possible and permitted. Personal data may also be used to prevent fraud and to secure our websites, apps, products, and services.
In the context of sales and agreements for the supply of products and services
U2pi offers various publications and provides reprographic services in the broadest sense of the word (in various webshops). U2pi processes contact details (including name, address, telephone number, and email address) and transaction data (including bank and payment details) for entering into and executing the agreement with you, in order to deliver these products and services and to keep you informed of their progress. The legal basis for processing is the performance of the agreement with you.
Visit to a U2pi website
U2pi manages various websites. When you use U2pi websites, we collect personal data to provide you with good service. For example, we use cookies and scripts for the better functioning of the websites. Additionally, tracking cookies and scripts are placed on some websites by us and by third parties to show you advertisements tailored to your interests and to analyze your browsing behavior.
Some U2pi websites use cookies and similar technologies to recognize and track you online, monitor your click and mouse behavior, and create profiles based on your behavior on the website.
The legal basis for these processing operations is your consent (with the exception of functional cookies and cookies with minimal impact on your privacy).
Newsletter
U2pi processes click behavior on a U2pi website in response to a newsletter you have received, in order to improve its products/services and to enable targeted advertising, if you have given consent for this.
Creating an account
It is possible to create an account on some U2pi websites. To create an account, please enter your name and email address (your login details). With an account, you only need to log in on your next visit and do not need to re-enter your login details. The legal basis for these processing activities is the performance of the agreement with you.
If data within the account is used for research and analysis to improve our services, the legal basis is U2pi's legitimate business interest in being able to improve its services.
We may enrich your login credentials with information we hold about you as a newsletter subscriber. We do this to recognize you as a newsletter subscriber. In this way, we can, for example, grant you a discount on products or services for which you are eligible as a newsletter subscriber. On some websites, we may enrich your login credentials with information we obtain from you through your use of the website. If this is the case, we will inform you about this before you create an account or ask for your separate consent if required.
Use of social media
U2pi can be found on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. When you follow us on social media, we may gain access to some of your profile data. This depends on your settings on these social media platforms. U2pi may track how often a specific article has been shared and “liked” via social media in order to analyze the reach of an article. The legal basis for this processing is U2pi’s legitimate interest in improving its services.
U2pi can make use of third-party (marketing) services, such as Facebook and Google. In this way, U2pi can target a specific audience on social media.
Contact customer service
You can contact U2pi customer service through various channels, via info@jouwboek.nl, or in other ways. Please check the various U2pi websites for this. When you contact our customer service, we may ask you for certain contact details such as name, address, email address, and telephone number. We use this data to handle your inquiry and store it to assist you better later, in the performance of the agreement with you. We also use the data to improve our products and services, for which the legal basis is U2pi's legitimate interest in improving its service provision.
U2pi Communication
U2pi is happy to keep you informed about news, events, and promotions. We do this via email, but also through direct marketing mailings or telemarketing. This is tailored as much as possible to your preferences and interests when these are known to us and you have given your consent. U2pi processes contact details (including name and email address), date of birth, and potential interest data (whether or not based on behavior on the website) for email newsletters.
You can sign up for communication from U2pi in various ways, for example by subscribing to one of U2pi's newsletters. U2pi may also keep you informed about similar products or services via email after a purchase, such as a purchase in one of the webshops, unless you indicated during your purchase that you do not wish to receive this. You can always easily unsubscribe from communication from U2pi. Every message you receive from U2pi explains how to do this.

U2pi enters into a data processing agreement with third parties acting as processors for U2pi, which includes, among other things, that they will only process personal data on behalf of U2pi.

Otherwise, U2pi only provides data to third parties with your prior consent or if we are required to do so by law and regulations, if we are compelled to do so as a result of legal proceedings, and/or if we deem it necessary to protect our own interests.
Security
U2pi takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or unlawful processing. For example, we secure our systems and applications at a level that, given the state of the art, is sufficient to prevent unauthorized access to, modification, disclosure, or loss of personal data. As part of this, U2pi enters into data processing agreements with suppliers it engages who process personal data on its behalf, imposing appropriate obligations on these suppliers to ensure the security of this data.
Your rights
Inspection and correction
If you would like an overview of all your personal data processed by U2pi, you can request this via info@jouwboek.nl. You can also use this email address to request changes or corrections to your data. U2pi will respond to such requests as soon as possible, but no later than within one month, unless an extension of that period is justified by law.
Objection
You may object at any time to the use of personal data for direct marketing and/or (further) receipt of (certain) marketing information by submitting this request in writing to U2pi BV, reply number 91025, 2509 VC The Hague, or by email via info@jouwboek.nl. An unsubscribe option is included in the newsletters sent by U2pi. If you make use of this option, you will no longer receive such messages.
Removal
If you would like U2pi to delete your personal data and/or account, you can request this by sending an email to info@jouwboek.nl. It is possible that some personal data may be retained by U2pi after the deletion request, for example if this is necessary for the processing of placed orders or if there is a legal obligation to retain the data.
Restriction of processing
If you have valid reasons to request a restriction of processing, for example because you dispute the accuracy of the personal data processed by U2pi, or you have lodged an objection to the processing of personal data by U2pi, you can request this by sending an email to info@jouwboek.nl
Data portability
If the processing of personal data by U2pi is based on your consent and is carried out via automated processes, you have the right to request to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to U2pi in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. You can make this request by sending an email to info@jouwboek.nl
Withdraw consent
When the processing of your personal data is based on your (explicit) consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent before its withdrawal.
Complaint
If you have a complaint about the use of personal data by U2pi, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Retention periods
Personal data is not retained longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or is processed. The WPG establishes retention periods per purpose and category of data. When determining retention periods, U2pi takes into account decisions of the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Transfers to countries outside the EEA
Your personal data will only be stored or processed outside the EEA by U2pi or processors engaged by U2pi if this is in accordance with the applicable regulations for the transfer of personal data to countries outside the EEA.
Minors
Are you under 18? Then ask your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) for permission to use our products and services.
Persons who have not yet reached the age of 18 (minors) may only purchase products and services from U2pi with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. The parent(s) or legal representative(s) of the minor must read this privacy statement and the cookie statement in the interest of the minor and may exercise the rights of the minor concerned on behalf of the minor. U2pi advises parents or legal guardians to supervise the use that a minor makes of U2pi's products and services and to make them aware of the use that may be made of their personal data pursuant to this privacy statement and the cookie statement.
Changes
U2pi reserves the right to amend this privacy statement. Please ensure that you are aware of the privacy statement in effect each time you use our services. We will notify you of significant changes.
Transfer of businesses
U2pi may transfer its business, subsidiaries, and/or services to a third party. In that case, your personal data will also be transferred to the relevant party. We will inform you of this in advance and in a timely manner. If you do not wish to continue using our services thereafter, you may request that we delete your data.
