Laminating - plasticizing
Laminating is the process of applying a plastic layer over printed materials. It's also called plasticizing. The resulting material is then protected from the elements, for example. Think of menus, placemats, hiking and sailing maps that shouldn't get wet.
CopyShop Den Haag has a laminating machine that can laminate all sizes up to A3 (29.7x42cm). Laminating involves applying a plastic layer to both sides of the printed material using a laminating pouch. You can choose between smooth lamination and rigid lamination, depending on the desired strength, and gloss or matte lamination.
We have samples of thin (80 micron), medium (125 micron) and strong (250 micron) lamination in our shop, so you can come and see and feel for yourself to make the right choice.
Our laminating machine is super fast, allowing us to deliver hundreds of units within a day.
